Recently, the full hybrid series tower developed by Goldwind has received a design compliance statement from the international authoritative certification body TÜV NORD. This is another recognition of Goldwind's hybrid tower products by an international authoritative certification body after UL and DNV certifications, marking an important step for the company in the field of hybrid tower research and development, and providing strong support for further expanding the international market for hybrid towers.
The certification process, based on the IECRE standard system, comprehensively assessed the hybrid tower products from multiple dimensions, including design reports, drawings, specifications, and manuals. The IECRE system is the latest certification system in the wind power industry. In recent years, the internationally recognized IEC 61400-22 standard has been fully transitioning to the IECRE OD-501 standard. Therefore, obtaining certification under this standard can lay the groundwork for Goldwind's hybrid tower products to meet international standards in the future.
Due to the uneven development levels of equipment manufacturing industries in different countries around the world, Goldwind's full hybrid series towers are more suitable for countries and regions with relatively insufficient steel tower production capacity, significant cross-border transportation pressure, and higher requirements for local production. These towers can not only promote local economic development but also improve technical levels, bringing more significant social benefits. Hybrid towers have more obvious advantages in production, transportation, and local content rate, which enables them to better adapt to diversified local demands when expanding into international markets.
In the past year, Goldwind's hybrid towers have been recognized by international authorities multiple times. In July 2024, it received China's first DNV European standard factory manufacturing assessment certificate and jointly released the "White Paper on China's Onshore Steel Hybrid Tower" with China General Certification. In October 2024, UL Solutions awarded China's first wind power hybrid tower bankability statement letter to Goldwind's subsidiary, Tensam. Obtaining the TÜV NORD certification further proves Goldwind's ongoing efforts in hybrid tower technology research.
By the end of 2024, Goldwind's hybrid tower products had accumulated orders exceeding 18GW, retaining the number one market share in the wind power hybrid tower market. In the future, Goldwind will continue to use technological innovation as the driving force, continuously improve the quality and service level of hybrid tower products, create more efficient green energy solutions, promote product innovation and technological progress, and build the wind power industry with global partners.
