Recently, a high-level delegation led by Diego Pardow, Chilean Minister of Energy, visited Goldwind. The delegation also included Sergio Valenzuela, Minister Counselor of the Chilean Embassy in China, and Andrés Gebauer Millas, Commercial Counselor of the Chilean Embassy in China, along with representatives from Chile's Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Chilean Mining and Energy Commission. Wu Kai, Vice President of Goldwind and Chairman of Goldwind International, and Zhou Jianqing, Deputy General Manager of Goldwind International, participated in the meeting. The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions on Chile's renewable energy development, wind power technology innovation, and potential future collaborations, aiming to explore new frontiers in China–Chile green energy cooperation.

During the visit, the Chilean delegation toured Goldwind's Beijing Yizhuang Park, recognized as China's first carbon-neutral smart park powered by renewable energy. They received a detailed briefing on Goldwind's global practices in wind turbine R&D, intelligent manufacturing, digital operations and maintenance, and zero-carbon solutions. Minister Pardow expressed strong appreciation for Goldwind's technological innovation and full-lifecycle service capabilities. He paid special attention to turbine solutions tailored for Chile's wind conditions and complex terrain. "Chile is actively driving its renewable energy transition," Minister Pardow noted. "We hope to foster more opportunities for bilateral cooperation in green energy through technical exchanges and project collaboration. Goldwind's experience and technology will provide critical support for Chile in achieving its sustainable development goals." Wu Kai remarked, "In recent years, Chile has achieved remarkable progress in energy transition and renewable energy development. We look forward to deeper collaboration with Chile in technology development and innovation, localized supply chain building, environmental sustainability, and local project development. Our shared goal is to help Chile reach its target of 70% renewable energy by 2030."

Goldwind entered the Chilean wind power market as early as 2013. Over the past 12 years, the company has been a strong supporter of the country's wind power industry. In product innovation, Goldwind has introduced smart wind turbines such as the GW165 and GWH182 series, specially adapted to Chile's wind characteristics and complex environments, significantly improving wind resource utilization. In project development and operations, Goldwind's wind power projects in Chile - both operational and under construction - have exceeded 1GW in total installed capacity. These projects generate billions of kilowatt-hours of green power annually, supporting Chile's green transition and contributing to local economic and social development. With strong support from governments, customers, and communities in Chile and other South American nations, Goldwind recently achieved a key milestone of 2GW cumulative installed wind power capacity across South America, reinforcing the continent's vital role as the "lungs of the Earth" in fulfilling a shared green mission.

The year 2025 marks the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Chile, and the 20th anniversary of the China-Chile Free Trade Agreement (FTA). This visit serves as another testament to the two countries' strategic consensus on strengthening economic ties and green development. Leveraging the benefits of the upgraded FTA, Goldwind will capitalize on its globally leading wind technology and localized operating experience to expand its presence in Chile's wind market, promote technology sharing and talent development, and collaborate with global partners to write a new chapter in China-Chile green development under the Belt and Road Initiative.
