Recently, Goldwind achieved a new milestone with cumulative deliveries of over 3,000 hybrid wind towers, serving more than 240 wind power projects across 21 provinces in China. The total delivered capacity has surpassed 15GW, making Goldwind the first wind power enterprise in the country to reach this milestone.

Innovation Driving the Long-Term Advancement of Hybrid Tower Technology

Since undertaking the National 863 Program in 2011, Goldwind has embarked on the independent R&D of steel-concrete hybrid towers. From China's first hybrid tower wind turbine, to the nation's first prefabricated modular hybrid tower, and then to the first 160m hybrid tower, Goldwind's hybrid tower technology has continued to evolve and scale new heights. In 2023, the company commissioned the world's first 185m hybrid tower, setting a new benchmark for onshore tower height worldwide. At present, Goldwind has secured over 100 patents and 30 certifications in the field of hybrid tower technology, strengthening the technological foundation for the large-scale industrial application of hybrid towers.

Nationwide Supply Network Ensuring Efficient Delivery

The achievement of the 3,000-unit milestone is supported by Goldwind's highly efficient hybrid tower delivery capabilities. Goldwind has established a nationwide supply network comprising 20 hybrid tower precast factories across provinces such as Anhui, Hebei, and Shandong. This network enables rapid response and cross-regional deployment, ensuring precise alignment between product supply and project schedules, while significantly shortening delivery cycles. At the recently grid-connected Zaoqiang Project in Hebei Province, all Goldwind hybrid towers were delivered with exceptional quality, 19 days ahead of schedule, resulting in an additional project benefit of CNY 760,000 for the customer.

Digitalization Empowering Lifecycle Management

The application of hybrid tower technology goes far beyond simply "pouring concrete". It represents a standardized, high-quality, and systematic engineering process. Goldwind leverages digital technologies to enable lifecycle management of hybrid towers, achieving integrated improvements across production, delivery, and O&M quality.

By deeply integrating digital technology with its "end-to-end integrated delivery" capability, Goldwind has developed a comprehensive digital solution covering all stages from design, manufacturing, installation, and monitoring to O&M. This system enables full-process visibility, intelligent decision-making, and proactive risk management throughout the lifecycle. Through its self-developed Fengjiang Platform and GTSim simulation software, Goldwind has built a closed-loop verification system that bridges virtual simulation with real wind farm conditions. Each hybrid tower undergoes more than 400 quality inspections before leaving the factory. With digital empowerment, overall production efficiency has increased by 30% compared to traditional factories.

During project operation, 24-hour "sentinel-style" monitoring, combined with drone and AI inspections, reduces O&M costs by over 30% and extends the fatigue life of hybrid towers by 15-20%, significantly enhancing customers' asset returns.

Strong Adaptability Expanding Hybrid Tower Application Scenarios

Through comprehensive innovation in materials and processes, Goldwind's hybrid tower products have enabled successful installation and stable operation across a variety of challenging environments. At the Lenghu Project in Qinghai, Goldwind overcame the challenges of an altitude of 2,900 meters, ensuring reliable performance under complex plateau climate conditions. At the Boli Project in Heilongjiang, the use of high-performance, low-temperature connection materials enabled smooth installation in extreme cold of -25°C, breaking through the limitations of frigid-weather construction. At the Pubei Project in Guangxi, segmented tower transportation technology was adopted, greatly enhancing transport efficiency and safety while solving the challenges of navigating complex mountainous terrain.

Driving Global Application of Hybrid Tower Products

In 2024, Goldwind Tianshan Fuyang Hybrid Tower Precast Factory became the first in China to receive DNV European Standard Factory Certification, marking the establishment of a globally replicable, high-standard quality management system. This achievement enables Goldwind to supply premium hybrid tower products to markets worldwide. Goldwind has already secured multiple hybrid tower projects in Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, and Thailand, and is building hybrid tower precast factories in several countries. These efforts provide strong support for the global wind power industry through innovative hybrid tower applications and localized project services.
