Goldwind South Africa Solutions Factory is the company's sixth overseas solutions facility following those established in the United States, Australia, Brazil, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Located in the Montague Gardens Industrial Park, the factory covers an area of approximately 2,500 square meters. Integrating five core functions - Remote Operations Center (ROC), Testing and O&M Center, Technical Support Center, Regional Warehousing Center, and GWO Training Center - the factory will provide comprehensive, lifecycle services for new energy projects in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. By enhancing project execution and O&M support efficiency, shortening spare parts supply cycles, and reducing operating costs, the factory will deliver more efficient and reliable localized technical support for customers in the region.

Goldwind also signed long-term Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with its drone service partners Clobotics and Forestry Drone. The partnerships aim to advance the innovative application of drone technologies in wind farm inspection, environmental monitoring, and O&M management. These technologies enable intelligent project inspections, reduce frontline workload, enhance personnel safety, and holistically improve ESG performance across projects. Ms. Samantha Graham-Maré, Deputy Minister of South Africa's Department of Electricity and Energy, commented: "The establishment of Goldwind's solutions factory marks an important step in South Africa's energy transition. It will not only drive the development of the local wind power industry chain, but also inject strong momentum into South Africa's pursuit of sustainable development."

Mr. Wang Hai, Vice President of Goldwind Group and General Manager of Goldwind International, stated: "The completion of the South Africa Solutions Factory is a vivid embodiment of Goldwind's 'In Africa, For Africa' localized service philosophy. We sincerely appreciate the strong support of our partners, and we will leverage South Africa as a strategic anchor to jointly advance the development of Africa's green energy industry."

Goldwind has been serving the South African market for more than a decade, with over 15 projects operating or under construction, totaling approximately 2GW. As early as 2015, Goldwind partnered with the local enterprise BioTherm Energy to develop the Golden Valley and Excelsior projects, which were commissioned in 2020 and 2021 respectively. Since grid connection, both projects have maintained an availability rate of over 99% and were selected for inclusion in the China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation: Case Studies and Plans at the second China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo. In 2022, Goldwind signed with EDF Renewables to deliver the K1 project cluster, deploying Goldwind turbines equipped with hybrid towers produced locally in South Africa, contributing to the development of the local supply chain. In 2023 and 2024, Goldwind partnered with the South African company ACED to implement the country's first "green mining" PPA projects - the Msenge and Castle projects, supplying stable green power to mining operations and industrial parks. Through Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), the projects provide customers with predictable electricity revenue for up to 20 years, enhancing overall bankability. In 2025, Goldwind signed an agreement with Red Rocket in South African to jointly develop the Overberg Project, which will become the country's largest single-site wind farm. With a total capacity of 400MW, the project is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by 700,000 tons annually, equivalent to approximately 30% of the emissions from South Africa's national grid.

Goldwind Organizes "Mandela Day" Charity Event to Donate Supplies to the KwaDela Temporary Relief Center in South Africa

In October this year, South Africa government released the Integrated Resource Plan 2025, which states that by 2039 the share of coal-fired power generation will fall from the current 58% to 27%, while wind power will rise from 8% to 24%. This demonstrates the country's strong commitment to driving its energy transition through renewable energy. Goldwind will continue to work with global partners to support South Africa's green transition needs, advancing project development and construction, promoting technological innovation and local supply chain upgrading, and contributing to local talent cultivation and community development. The company remains dedicated to helping the "Rainbow Nation" accelerate its journey toward a more diversified and sustainable energy mix.
