On September 15, 2023, Goldwind Science & Technology Co., Ltd., and Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (Santander CIB) inked a Memorandum of Understanding in Singapore, aiming to leverage both parties’ resources to promote global energy transition. Mr. Cao Zhigang, President of Goldwind, Mr. Wu Kai, Vice President of Goldwind and Chairman of Goldwind International, Mr. Antony Hung, Executive Vice President of Santander Group and Regional Head of Santander CIB Asia, Madam Zhang Xia, Head of Banking & Corporate Finance of Santander Asia Pacific, together with the main teams of both parties attended the signing ceremony.

Mr. Cao Zhigang, President of Goldwind, highly recognized the close partnership between Santander and Goldwind since 2018. Mr. Cao expressed that in the past five years, with mutual understanding and trust well established, the cooperation between the two parties has expanded gradually from Argentina to multiple core markets. Santander CIB's global presence and expertise have formed a strong synergy with Goldwind. In the meantime, we are impressed and excited by Santander's efforts and vision to promote global energy transition. Goldwind looks forward to working together with Santander to contribute to global sustainable development.

Mr. Antony Hung, Executive Vice President of Santander Group and Regional Head of Santander CIB Asia mentioned that Goldwind, as the leading industry player in the wind sector, has been playing a very critical role in implementing the "carbon peaking by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060”, energy transition and sustainable development across the globe. Santander will continue to leverage our advantages in core markets to assist Goldwind's "offshore and overseas " strategy and empower the energy transition in China and globally. This is a path on which there can be no hesitation, and I hope all of us can learn from the past, analyze with facts, strategize with vision, execute with humanity.

According to the MOU, the two parties will, based on the principles of mutual benefit and harmonious development, leverage their respective advantages in global market and renewable sector, and form a comprehensive, long-term and stable strategic partnership. Especially in Santander CIB's core markets such as Europe and Latin America, to keep close communication and cooperation with Goldwind on Global trade, financing, FX, M&A and Capital market, etc.
