The 2023 China Wind Energy Spring Forum recently commenced in Beijing, marking the beginning of a significant event in the renewable energy sector. During this forum, the China Renewable Energy Society (CRES) released the 2022 Statistic Report of Wind Power Installed Capacity in China. According to the report, China's wind power industry demonstrated consistent growth in 2022. The total new installed capacity reached 49.83 million kWh nationwide (excluding Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan). Among all wind power companies, Goldwind emerged as the leader with a remarkable new installed capacity of 11.36 million kWh in 2022, securing its position as a champion in market share for 12 consecutive years.

Wu Gang, the Chairman of Goldwind, expressed that wind energy in China has experienced significant growth over the past 30 years thanks to international cooperation, strategic support from the government, and dedication of the pioneering individuals in the wind power industry. He believes that wind energy acts  as the connecting force between the shared goals of humanity, national strategies, business advancement  and personal growth.”

30 years have passed and now the development of wind energy in China reflects contradictions, a real version of “fire and ice”.

Wang Haibo, the Executive Vice President of Goldwind, shared his insights on key areas of focus in industrial development. “With efforts of all industrial chains, the price of wind power equipment dropped rapidly in the past three years. This reduction in price is a significant contribution towards the overall energy transformation of society.. Equipment manufacturing enterprises should take pride in the value they created.”

Xue Naichuan, the Vice President of Goldwind said China's wind power cost per kilowatt-hour is highly competitive. He believes that the industry should prioritize standardization and reliability to reduce unnecessary investment. By improving wind power generation and ensuring stable power supply, the aim is to establish wind power as a major source of electricity.”

During the forum, Goldwind received multiple awards as an exemplary model in the industry.

One of the notable achievements was being recognized as the “Wind Energy Pioneer of China”, which is a significant engineering project-based innovative program. Between 2021 and 2022, Goldwind's turbines were involved in 7 wind power projects that won this prestigious award.

In addition, a number of front-line employees were honored with the prestigious title of  “Wind Energy Pioneer of China”. As a representative of the pioneer, Su Kewu, an employee of Goldwind had the opportunity to share his remarkable journey of empowering energy-intensive companies with “green wings” for the past decade.

From the initial 0 to a staggering 400 million kWh, China has dedicated over three decades to this achievement. By annually increasing the installed capacity of wind power by 50 million kWh, it is expected that the Qian Xuesen's ambitious vision of reaching a wind power capacity of 2 billion kWh will be realized. In the continuous pursuit of wind power development, Goldwind is committed to exerting great efforts and pushing forward to contribute to the next historic breakthrough of wind energy in China.
