On December 16, 2021, Goldwind successfully signed a contract for the Ivovik 84MW wind power project in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is currently the largest wind farm in the country. After the completion of the project, Goldwind will achieve the wind power installation covering 13 countries in Europe.

The Ivovik project is located in West Bosnia, about 90 km from the capital city of Sarajevo. It selects 20 units of GW136-4.2MW wind turbines of Goldwind. The product has released the Environmental Product Declaration ( EPD ) with the assistance of Swedish Environmental Research Institute (IVL), and fully meet the requirements of European environmental performance for carbon footprint.

After the completion of the project, its annual power generation time is expected to reach 3,028 hours, delivering 250 million kwh of clean electricity to the local areas every year, and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 172,000 tons.

Goldwind president Cao Zhigang and vice president Wu Kai attended the signing ceremony with senior management of customers. During his speech, Cao Zhigang said, “This project is an important breakthrough for Goldwind in the European market, further optimizing the company’s layout in the business region. In the future, we continue to commit ourselves to promoting the energy transformation and driving a renewable future worldwide.”

The project was included in the list of cooperation results of the China-CEE Summit in February 2021, which will play an important exemplary role in renewable energy cooperation and economic and trade development between China and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
