In January, 2021, China's first "carbon neutral" smart park certification ceremony was held in Goldwind global headquarters in Beijing.

It is a perceptible, thinkable and executable green park ecosystem that integrates renewable energy, smart micro-grid, smart water system, green agriculture and sports & health. Especially in terms of smart microgrids, clean energy accounts for 50% of the total power in 2020 by deploying 4.8MW wind power, 1.3MW solar energy, vanadium redox flow batteries (VRB), lithium batteries, supercapacitors and other forms of energy storage.

This certification was conducted by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) under the standard of ISO14064-1:2006 to verify greenhouse gas emissions in the park. According to the report, not including the park's self-supplied electricity consumption, the total greenhouse gas emissions generated by all other production and operation activities related to greenhouse gas emissions are approximately 11,937 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent in 2020.

By purchasing China Certified Emission Reductions (CCER), Goldwind offset all the greenhouse gases emitted and successfully achieved carbon neutrality.

Fully meeting China’s carbon peak and carbon neutral requirements, Goldwind has set a successful example for the business parks to achieve 'carbon neutrality'.

While Goldwind carbon neutral smart park is just a beginning. To achieve the goal of "carbon neutrality", only one park like this is far not enough. Goldwind has already started the plan to take ourselves’ advantages and rich experience in renewable energy and the construction of smart micro-grids, and help more business parks to increase the proportion of renewable energy and realize the goal of carbon neutrality.
