On August 8th, the Goldwind Offshore "ZTT 31" 1,600-ton Jack-up Wind Turbine Installation Platform, which was developed jointly by Goldwind and ZTT Group was, officially delivered in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. This platform serves as a "Pillar of Great Power" to explore deep-sea wind power resources, strengthen the construction of offshore wind power projects, address the key bottlenecks for the construction of super-large offshore MW-level units (above 20MW) and ensure the sustainable and organized development of offshore wind power.

Goldwind Offshore “ZTT 31” 1,600-ton Jack-up Wind Turbine Installation Platform is specifically designed to address the challenges posed by offshore wind power and large-size wind turbines. It incorporates advanced offshore platform technology and unit transportation and hoisting technology, working in an integrated manner of "loading+transportation+storage+hoisting". The platform itself measures 139.1 meters in length and 50m meters in width, with the maximum hoisting height of 165 meters above the main deck of the main crane, the maximum hoisting weight of 1,600 tons in the effective working radius, the working water depth of 70 meters and a variable load of 11,000 tons. It is available to hoist offshore wind turbine with a unit capacity of 20MW and impeller diameter over 320m. The platform features the largest variable load of 11,000 tons and deck variable load of 8,000 tons in China. By effectively solving the installation challenges  of large MW-level units, it enhances the transportation and storage capacity of more and larger MW-level units. Additionally, it ensures that sufficient safety redundancy is maintained to handle potential risks during operation.

Goldwind Offshore "ZTT 31" 1,600-ton Jack-up Wind Turbine Installation Platform possesses completely independent intellectual property rights. It is highly digitalized and automated, ensuring the safety of construction in the deep-sea area, while also considering operational efficiency and construction convenience. The platform is equipped with tens of thousands of sensors and 360,000-meter data cable, allowing for real-time monitoring and collection of information on 79 sets of equipment and system. It can automatically evaluate the human interference level based on the parameter information, and synchronously output different acousto-optic warning signals to ensure the safe operation of the platform. The platform is designed to handle a wide range of challenging working conditions such as deep mud, deep water depth, high air gap, flood season, self-control and navigation in extreme storm, pile-leg collision, and dual-machine cooperation. It ensures the security and reliability of Goldwind Offshore “ZTT 31” 1,600-ton Jack-up Wind Turbine Installation Platform in various environmental and sudden conditions. Wu Sichuan, Wu Sichuan, Deputy Secretary and Deputy General Manager of China Merchants Industry Group Co., Ltd., emphasized the significance of this platform in the future of offshore wind power in China.
